How do I join an Arthur meeting from the Web?

If you don't have a VR headset available, you can also join your team with the browser in any meeting on your laptop with the fewest clicks via the Arthur Portal



During the meeting you can click, talk, participate, move around seamlessly (fly or walk) and also interact with items.


1 - How do I join an Arthur meeting from the Web?

• Log-in to your Arthur Portal
• Navigate to the room from the "Rooms" tab or directly from the list of “Upcoming Meetings’
• Click on the "Join Room" button
  *Please make sure to allow microphone access when prompted

Note: If the system detects a user has an unstable internet connection, the user is notified with a connectivity strength indicator. 

 

2 - How do I navigate in an Arthur meeting?
 

• Navigating:
  W to move Forward
  A to move Left
  S to move backwards
  D to move right 
  R to move upwards
  F to move downwards
  Use Arrow keys to turn (alternatively you can click and drag on the screen with your cursor)
  
   
• Teleport with mouse: 
  Double left click pointing to the location where you want to teleport
   

• Other controls:
  Press M to mute / unmute yourself
  Press Space Bar to turn on/off speaker phone. Alternatively, you can also put yourself on the speakerphone by clicking on the   button
  Press X to laser point

  

3 - How do I interact with items in an Arthur meeting?
 

• Main menu and spawning items:
  Press Enter to open/ close ‘Main Menu’
  In Main Menu, click on an item to spawn it
   

• Object Zooming 
  Left Click on a 2D object (image, pinboard etc.) to zoom in on it. Click the  icon appearing at the bottom right corner of the object to zoom out later.

• Context menu to perform actions on items:
  Right click on an item with mouse to open ‘Context Menu’
   
• Grabbing items:
  Press G and hold an item with the left click of your mouse to first grab the object. Then, move the mouse to move the object. Use the scroll on your mouse to move away or near. 
   
• Rotate items:
  Grab an item (as explained above) and press the 'Q' and 'E' keys to rotate
   
• Move items (push or pull):
  Grab an item with your mouse and and use the 'Scroll wheel' to push/pull an item
  Scroll up to push and scroll down to pull

4 - How do I find help with controls during my meeting?

At the bottom right of your screen, you can always click on "Show Controls" to get help.




 
5 - How do I switch rooms manually and with hyperlinks?

To switch rooms manually, click on the room name at the bottom left of your screen to open the room menu, then simply click on the room you want to switch to!
 

If there is a hyperlink placed in the room you can directly click on the blue hyperlink button to switch

6 - How do I move users to another room?

As an admin, if you've joined via web, and are hosting a session, you can easily move users from one room to another. Simply click on the current room name appearing at the bottom left. This will open a drop down of all the rooms available in the team. Once you have decided the room to which you want to transfer all the participants to, click on it from the dropdown list, and the option to move everybody to this room will appear if you're an admin.
