In Arthur, you have spatial audio available, which means that the direction and volume of the sound of participants depend on the relative position of the people in the room.
While this feature makes a VR meeting in Arthur extremely immersive and natural, there are cases where you want the whole room to hear you in full volume, such as presentations to large groups, or trying to facilitate and organize a workshop setting. With Speakerphone mode, we give users the chance to be heard in full volume all across the room.
How do I active speakerphone mode?
- Move your left controller closer to your VR headset (as if you were to hold a speakerphone or microphone)
- The menu button on your left controller turns into a speakerphone button
- If you now keep the speakerphone button pressed, you will go into speakerphone mode and everyone in the room will hear you on full volume
- To exit speakerphone mode, simply release the speakerphone button and lower your controller again
How can I stay in speakerphone mode?
- You can also lock it into constant Speakerphone mode by bringing the left controller in close proximity to your headset and pressing the speakerphone button once
- You will notice a notification appearing at the bottom of your view, telling you that you’re now in Speakerphone mode
-
To exit speakerphone mode simply double press the menu button
