The “Admin Panel” feature in Arthur allows admins to control and restrict certain actions of participants in the meeting. For now, admins will be able to mute everyone, mute individuals, and toggle off/on object deletion, object movement, or the context menu and main menu for participants. They can also kick participants out of the meeting.
1) How do I get access to the admin panel?
If you are not an admin right now, please reach out to your organization's admin or your Arthur contact person, to change your VR user role to 'admin'.
2) How do I open and use the admin panel?
To open the admin panel in VR, you will need to click on the “Admin Panel” icon that appears at the bottom of your view.
If an admin is joining from the Arthur portal, this icon will be appearing at the bottom right of the computer screen once inside a room.
When opened, you can perform certain actions on it - other admins will not be affected, only regular meeting participants.
The toggles in the top row can be switched On/Off, if you wish to apply it to all meeting participants and can be managed for individual users from the list below.
- If the toggle Main Menu, is switched off, the meeting participants will not able to access the main menu, which essentially takes away their ability to use most of the Arthur features on the Main Menu.
- If the toggle Context Menu is off, meeting participants will not be able to open the context menu on any object. This means they cannot delete or duplicate any item in the room, nor unlock movement-locked objects, which will give you peace of mind during a presentation.
- If you toggle off Object Deletion, meeting participants cannot delete any object in the room anymore.
- If you toggle off Object Movement, meeting participants cannot move any object in the room anymore.
Mute/ Unmute:
-

Kick User:
Similarly, admins can also kick participants from a meeting by simply clicking on the button
You will be asked to confirm this action once, after which the user will be kicked out of the meeting.
Move Participants:
If you have access to the admin panel (i.e. your user role is admin in a specific team), you can also move participants that are present in a particular room (while attending a meeting etc.) to another. This ensures smooth transition among rooms during events for all participants.
In VR, this can be done via navigating to the Room Overview tab after opening tablet menu, and clicking on the "Move Everybody" option appearing on a particular room to where the participants are to be moved.
On web, this can be done by selecting the required room from available rooms dropdown at the bottom left of your computer screen.
Additional Information:
- If a participant is speaking, this will be indicated with a blue speaking indicator in front of their name.
- If a participant is on the speakerphone, this will be indicated with an orange speakerphone indicator in front of their name
-
If there are other Admins present in the room, this will be indicated in front of their name
