The Arthur Real-time Assistant is your always-on AI collaborator inside every Arthur meeting. It listens, understands, speaks back, and runs actions for you — all in a natural, flowing conversation. Whether you're in VR or on the Web, talking to Arthur should feel as easy as talking to a colleague.
The conversational intelligence is powered by OpenAI's gpt-realtime-1.5, a voice-native model that listens to your speech and responds in speech directly. This eliminates the lag of older "transcribe, think, then speak" pipelines and is what makes the back-and-forth feel so natural.
The assistant's spoken voice uses OpenAI's text-to-speech with the "echo" voice profile, chosen for its warm, neutral tone that works well in professional meetings.
Key functionalities:
Effortless activation: Engaging the assistant is now second nature — no menus, no buttons to hunt for. In VR, simply raise your hand and speak to get the assistant's attention instantly. On Web, just hold the spacebar while talking to engage with the assistant, then release when you're done. In both modes the assistant only listens while you are actively engaging it, so side conversations and background chatter stay private.
You must be within 3m to interact with the AI Assistant by default — to increase this range, open the context menu and adjust the Interaction Range setting.
- Seamless Interruptions: You no longer have to wait for the assistant to finish its thought. If you need to clarify a point, you can interrupt it mid-sentence to redirect the conversation — just like you would with a human. The assistant will stop talking immediately, listen to what you said, and pick up the new thread.
- Instant Language Switching: In a global meeting? The assistant can detect and switch between languages on the fly, chatting with different participants in their native tongues without missing a beat. No settings menu, no restart — the conversation just flows.
